Brand New

This is the new view from the window in my new room. It’s funny to have a brand new view from a brand new window as the new year and new semester start, because with it, I start a new set of privileges, joys and challenges as a brand new staff member at CCBC Europe.

Home

I just arrived back in Budapest following a month or so spent at home. My time at home was a time of rest and recuperation with family and friends. I listened to tons of music, made a bunch of music, wrote a bit of music, and chopped down as well as chopped up a considerably large tree in my dad’s backyard. I also got to be there for the birth of my younger sister’s firstborn. He almost didn’t make it in time to see me…

Ministry

The grace that God has shown me in giving me so many things to do and to enjoy is crazy. There are many things that He has put in front of me to be faithful in. I will be helping out with making sure the A/V ministries (Recording classes, sound, lighting, etc.) go smoothly; I’ll be a teacher’s assistant in our class on Romans and I will get the opportunity to teach several of the classes; and I’m living in the dorms alongside the men that God is shaping here at the school and I will be able to be a part of seeing God work in them and through them.

Music

Besides that, I will be spending a lot of time developing music in the coming months alongside some amazing people that the Lord has placed around me. I’ll be serving in such ministries as helping out one of the local churches on Sunday morning with their music, working alongside Barnabbe Productions (Click here for more information), and I’ll continue to write and produce original music alongside some amazing musicians and technicians. The vision that God has given me to reach people with music is only growing and I’m excited to work with the people around me and meet more people who are like minded in these things.
